BREAKING NEWS... MANAGEMENT UPDATE.
The Board of Directors has reluctantly accepted the resignation of Micky Philips as the First team manager of Larkfield and New Hythe FC. For personal reasons Micky feels he can't give the role the time it requires and will spend more time with his family. We thank Micky for his efforts and success in the past 2 seasons, winning us promotion to the SCEFL Premiership with Dan Lye, and last season winning the Kent Senior Trophy, beating Whitstable Town 3-2 in the final.
We have moved quickly and are pleased to announce the appointment of Fraser Walker as Joint First Team Manager. Fraser was already player/coach for Micky and is someone we trust to progress the club further. Fraser has appointed Tony Reid as his joint First Team Manager, and Sian Marie as coach.
Tony Reid has a wealth of experience and success, having previously been first team manager at Corinithian Casuals, Farnham Town, Walton & Hersham and Westfield with whom he won promotion to the Isthmian league
Fraser Walker says;
First of all, I want to thank Micky for everything he’s done for the club during his time here. He’s played a huge part in shaping where we are today, and I wish him nothing but success in whatever comes next.
When I look at the team he’s left behind, combined with my own connection to this club and my belief that we have what it takes to win this league, stepping forward felt like the only choice.
This squad has been working incredibly hard, and with the additions we’ve made both on and off the field, I’m confident we can bring the success this family club truly deserves. I can’t wait for us to achieve something special together.
Sian says:
It’s a pleasure and an honour to be invited back into men’s football and be trusted to coach the players, even better to be part of a progressive club that wants success. I’m really looking forward to what we can achieve - there’s a great group of players and the staff have been so welcoming! Roll on 25/26 season!
